Nina Ward
Welcome to my website
When I was eight-years-old, I knew I was going to be a writer. In 6th grade, on the last day of school, my teacher asked me, "Do you know why I was so hard on you all year?"
I replied with the usual sarcastic tone, "Because you hate me".
"No. Because one day you will be a great writer." He handed me a book compilation of classic poems. "Study this over the summer." I did.
My writing credits include non-fiction and fiction in magazines and books such as Chicken Soup for the Soul books, Boy’s Life, Kid City, The Upper Room, and others. I’ve written for local newspapers covering sports, news, and profiles. I'm one of the founders and facilitators of the Florida Gulf Coast Writers Circle and a member of the Florida Writers Association.
